SBC along with our supporting conferences are pleased to host the 2021 Leadership Conference on March 19 – 20 with speaker, Dr. Gordon T. Smith, president and professor of systematic and spiritual theology at Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta.
Theme: THE SOUL OF THE CHRISTIAN LEADER IN A SECULAR AGE
What does it mean to give leadership to the church in a time of increasing secularity? And what does it mean to cultivate the interior dispositions and practices – care of soul – in such a time as this? Gordon T. Smith will be addressing both the character of culture and society, with the rise of secularity, and what it means to sustain the essential virtues and inner perspectives that foster effective and courageous leadership for the church that can and must flourish in this cultural context.
Gordon T. Smith (Rev), Ph.D. is the president and professor of systematic and spiritual theology at Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta. He is the author of a number of publications, including Evangelical, Sacramental and Pentecostal: Why the Church Needs to be All Three (IVPress, 2017) and Wisdom from Babylon: Leadership for the Church in a Secular Age (IVPress, 2020).
