Greetings from One88 Community Church.
We are excited to be hosting our 5th annual Golf Tournament at Bel-Acres Golf & Country Club on Thursday, September 4th, 2025. Every year our tournament has grown, and we are anticipating even more participation this year. A quick word about who we are and why we hold this tournament:
One88 operates a daily Drop-In in the downtown core of Winnipeg, for people who have no place to go. For 12 years, we have felt the call to walk with people in downtown Winnipeg, living out radical hospitality in very practical ways. This can mean providing the means to shower and cleanup, some food, laundry, help with housing, or taking time to talk & pray through difficult situations. It’s providing a cup of coffee and a safe place to work through the stuff that keeps people stuck in one place. It’s providing people the support they need to work through the realities of life around addictions, homelessness, poverty, and lack of supports. It’s not simply about doing things for people but supporting them in a welcoming community and helping them move forward in life.
The nature of our community means that we rely on generous donations from people from a variety of networks. The annual One88 Golf Tournament is one of the ways we seek to sustain the work we are doing in downtown Winnipeg. It is also a way to let people know about the work we are doing and build some new relationships.
If you or your organization would like to support the work that we do at One88 by participating in the One88 Golf Tournament, you can join the team in the following ways:
1.
Make a financial donation, donate a prize, or donate your company promotional items as golf prizes for the tournament. All prize donations will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged!!
2.
Become a One88 Corporate Golf Tournament Sponsor (Registration Fee is $1400.00) which includes:
a.
Sponsoring a hole on the course, displaying your corporate signage, and/or have company representatives on hand to greet the golfers, recognition on One88’s social media and tournament advertising materials and you will also receiving public acknowledgment during the dinner following the tournament.
b.
A golf foursome registration is included in the Corporate Sponsorship.
c.
A charitable donation tax receipt for $700.00
3.
Bring three friends and register a golf foursome. Registration Fee is $650.00
4.
Register as an individual golfer: Registration Fee is $175.00 per person
