This month during July 20 - 25, representatives from a number of different Indigenous Gentile Nations who have a long connection to the land in the territories where their ancestors have lived from time immemorial will be be hosted by Island Breeze Manitoba in Steinbach for an International Gathering. They are coming from the far corners of the earth, eg. New Zealand, Australia, Samoa, Fiji, Hawaii, the Philippines, South Africa, etc. They will be Gathering here in the heart of the Continent which the Indigenous People called Turtle Island!
On the Thursday evening of July 24, there will be a great time of connecting for not only the Gentile Indigenous Tribes, but for the Jewish people who are also Indigenous to the land Israel to come together in a spirit of unity and togetherness. The Hebrew word for "together" is "Beyachad."
The Indigenous groups from around the world will come together to bring their songs and dances along with the Jewish Chai Folk Ensemble for an unforgettable celebration of our common roots in the Hebrew nation as heirs of the promises that were made to the ancient Hebrew fathers. This celebration of indigeneity, land, culture and community is NOT a political event that favours one nation over another, but a spiritual event which recognizes all human beings as created in the image of God our Creator, and also recognizes that the promise to Abraham and his descendants was and is to bless ALL NATIONS without respect of persons, or of any nation being superior or inferior to another.
