Will you join us for a World Day of Prayer service? We are inviting you to pray together and share in Christian fellowship with us and other local churches on Friday March 1, 2019.
The World Day of Prayer movement has roots in the work of Canadian and American women’s missionary groups to unite in informed prayer and prayerful actions for missions. This movement has been going strong since 1920, a long and fruitful partnership between different denominations to glorify God and give hope to women touched by injustice.
Through this annual World Day of Prayer, we are striving for the love and compassion that unites us as Christians and illustrates Christ’s prayer for the Church:
My prayer…is that they all may be one…
So that they may be brought to complete unity.
Then the world will know that you sent me
And have loved them even as you have loved me. (John 17:20-23)
A voluntary offering will be collected in support of a World Day of Prayer project grant which will be given to women who have experienced injustice.
