God created the different seasons:
“Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.” Psalm 74:17
HE established the seasons as a reminder of His faithfulness and mercies:
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease" - Genesis 8:22.
Jesus described the winter season as a challenging time:
“Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains” Matthew 24:16
“But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:” Matthew 24:20
Environmental Canada annually report that tens die due to over-exposure to the cold, we should act, knowing that: “For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” - Ecclesisates 7:12
