Our 2020 Life Hike is planned for Saturday, September 26. Due to COVID-19, we will
be hosting our Life Hike ONLINE! We will have an opening presentation on Friday evening, and encourage
everyone to partake in their own individual hikes for life on the Saturday, wearing pro-life T-shirts and signs.
Participants will submit pictures and/or videos of their own mini life hikes by 4 PM Saturday, September 26, where a
submission compilation will be presented on Saturday evening. Yard signs and clothing apparel will be made available
for use. If you, your family, friends and churches are interested, contact the office at (204)-233-8047. Though COVID-19 brings
uncertainty with it, some things are certain. Every year that we have had this Life Hike, we keep the two purposes in
mind:
1. The need to raise public awareness regarding life issues (such as abortion and
euthanasia), and
2. To raise funds so that we can continue our projects to provide educational
resources to the Winnipeg community.
This year bears these two purposes in mind as well. However, we will be approaching the Life Hike event differently
this year through our pledges. Pledges are something we do with this event, and we encourage everyone to get a
pledge form off the website and help us raise money. The new parts are
as follows:
1. Incentives – Who wants to win a family pass to the Assiniboine Park Zoo? This is the Ultimate Prize for the
person who raises the most through their pledges. There will be other prizes to win at different fundraising levels as
well.
2. REACH OUTS – Work your way towards the Ultimate Prize by connecting with a minimum of 10 people. We
want to connect people with Winnipeg Life’s Vision and what we do as an organization. By asking 10 of your friends for
a pledge of minimum $20 (tax receipts with $20+), it will connect those individuals to our affiliate. Whether they accept
